Financial Terms and Definitions

The glossary concept for Compare Definitions is to source financial, marketing and e-commerce definitions from a variety of glossaries and serve up a range of answers for the definition of a selected word.

Currently there are thousands of words and corresponding defintions stored.

For example the term bond has two altrenative definitions and further similar words and there definitions are suggested such as story stock or bond, granny bonds, passive bond and split coupon bond.

The website is searchable using Google custom search which makes finding suitable financial, marketing and e-commerce defintions easy.

Student Guide

Student Wiki is a student resource providing details on clubs and societies at Universities up and down the UK. The wiki is appreciative of any student related content. Suggestions for content include student life, student finance, student living, student nights out and future careers.

To date hundreds of articles have been written by students wishing to promote their club or society. One of the more interesting wiki pages is Nottingham English Society Football, a humorous commentary on the Nottingham English Society Football team. Other pages include lists of all societies at each University such as the Warwick Societies list.

Accountant Directory

Find UK Accountant is a directory of accountancy firms in the UK organised by county and town.

Accountants may sign up to the service to get their contact details listed in the directory. As well as contact details, accountants may detail further information about the particular services offered such as audit, tax, bookkeeping, personal tax, tax planning and accounts preparation amongst others.

Google maps are also incorporated to highlight office locations. Popular locations are naturally driven by population density with London, Birmingham and Bristol being the cities in the directory that currently have the most accountancy firms registered.

The accountants listed in the directory are members of various accounting bodies including the Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales (ICAEW), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS).
